19th C Wax F.Ziegler Anatomical Models Studies Embryo Plant Scientific Medical

About the Item

A rare pair of wax studies by F.Ziegler taken from the imagery of F.Keibel We believe the larger of the two models to be off a human embryo and the other to be of a plant. The models have some of their originals labels , both showing signs of age related wear but considering their construction and fragility are in excellent condition, some minor cracking and elderly repairs. Likely to of been used in a well to do medical School or the like, circa 1890/1900 in age European in origin. Produced by Friedrich Ziegler Measures: Largest model 14cm in height, base diameter 10.5cm Smallest model 14cm in height, base diameter 7.5cm.
