English Brass Bankers Balance Scale from the 19th Century with Circular Pans

About the Item

An English brass bankers balance scale from the 19th century. Born in England during the 19th century, this elegant brass bankers scale features a central shaft, connected in its upper section with a horizontal balance beam. This beam is supporting two circular pans with links, hung through small hooks while the scale is resting on a curving base. Highly decorative, this English 19th century brass bankers scale does not include weights, but will be a wonderful decorative accent perhaps displayed on console table, chest-of-drawers or buffet.
