This is a W & T Avery makers brass and cast iron beam scale. The top of the pillar, is adorned with cast iron scrolls and a heart. There is one brass pan and the other one is made of porcelain by H. Marsh in Manchester. The Avery maker’s mark is incised in the beam. There is only one weight.
