Antique Chinese Mahjong Game Set in Fitted Locking Leather Case with Key
About the Item
This antique Mahjong set is presumed to have originated from China and date to approximately 1900 and done in the Chinese Export style. The tiles are composed of a butterscotch bakelite and some with black backs, with etched and hand painted details. The set appears complete and is composed of well over two hundred pieces. The tiles are stored in fitted trays, with a central compartment for the markers and tiny boxed dice. The set is housed in a thick brown leather case with a sturdy handle and lock.
