An incredible stoppered decanter and underplate designed by Christopher Dresser for Watacombe Terracotta Clay Company, circa 1870. Printed and hand-painted band of Persian inspired design on all three pieces. The decanter measures 10 1/2"-inches high, the under plate is 8"-inches in diameter. Although unmarked (possibly worn) it is Christopher Dresser designed, a variant is located at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts..
