About the Item
These are a beautiful pair of French, Art Deco period, Book Ends of two metal Springbok Antelopes, in a jumping pose all sat on Italian Marble bases.
Each antelope has been well modelled with good detail. They are made of metal having a bronzed - burnished copper finish.
The bases are made of marble having a lovely veined colour, all with slightly beveled corners.
Each bookend weighs about 600gm.
We date these pieces to the mid-20th century, circa 1930.
