Art Deco Replogle Illuminated Glass Library Globe

About the Item

12" Illuminated glass library globe by Replogle (Chicago, IL, ca. 1944). Israel is not present, Manchutikuo is present, the capital of French Indo-China is Hanoi, Italian Ethiopia and Italian Somaliland present, and Chosen is indicated in place of Korea. Composed of paper gores over glass with a cast metal bronze finish meridian and deco style base. Light soiling / patina, paper losses, and one burnt patch present. Additionally, there is tarnish present to the metal meridian and base, as shown. Remains in good condition for its age. Newly rewired and ready for use. Height: 15" Width: 13.5" Depth: 12"
