Large Sculptural Belgian Globe Floor Stand
About the Item
Large Globe floor stand, metal, resin, Belgium, 1950s.
Beautiful globe on a floor stand. The reserved, almost monochromatic color scheme in black and Light Blue gives the item a sculptural appearance. The strong metal stem on a round base is holding the angled globe. With a round brass handle on top, the globe can be circled. The black and blue surfaced globe is hand painted, the black color shows the continents, all the water is blue. This type was used for educational purposes. An overall patina both on the globe and the metal adds a unique value to the item.
