Tellus Globe, Ochre
About the Item
This striking piece features a 500mm diameter globe elevated on a rippled Australian walnut veneered stand with caps, brace detailing and a highly polished base in antiqued brass. The globe rests on three roller bearings, which allow for a fluid and unimpeded 360-degree motion.
The large orb is meticulously hand-painted using Sennelier watercolor pigment with a UV- and scratch-resistant resin coat. Honey is added to the pigment, giving the paint an incomparable brilliance and smoothness.
Based in Stoke Newington, Bellerby & Co. are artisan globe makers, whose founder Peter's unfulfilled search for the perfect globe to gift to his father resulted in the beginnings of the company.
Much like LINLEY, no two Bellerby & Co. designs are the same, making this a perfect partnership.
