19th Century Carved Oak Black Forest Fire Screen

About the Item

19th century Carved oak black forest fire screen, circa 1880. Beautifully carved example of black forest woodwork. Typical foliage and scrolling carved branches surmounted by a carved bird.  Standing on a carved tripod base. Replaced tapestry in the screen, but the original is underneath, please see picture. Expected minor repairs to work.
