19th Century Lacquered Chinoiserie Screen

Monumental 19th Century lacquered screen with a Chinoiserie design throughout.
This fantastic screen features ten folding panels which are decorated on both sides. Each panel is beautifully painted with typical Chinese foliate designs and social scenes.
The scenes portray a working village with figures walking through the stylised streets and praying in temples.
It has a decorative rectilinear edging to the very bottom which adds to its decorative charm.
This screen is a very stylish interior piece. It is an uncommon piece because of its large proportions.
This screen has immense decorative power and shall look fabulous being used as a room divider or a piece of mounted art.
