Antique Japanese Pair Gilt Mandarin Duck Screen Holders

About the Item

Incredible pair of Japanese hand cast gilt bronze Mandarin Duck screen holders with detailed plumage, Taisho period 1920. Each of these two sculptures is in great condition with an almost intact gilt finish. Beautiful works of art that serve as wonderful collectible objects and as beautifully conceived decorative accents unique to Japanese artisans. These sculptures are powerful symbols of human fidelity as Mandarin ducks mate for life and in Feng Shui. Aside from their original purpose, these fine sculptures add whimsy and elegance on their own. Dimensions Each : 3 inches high and 4.5 inches long Handmade, hand cast, hand gilded. Only one pair.
