This is an antique pendant pole screen. An English, mahogany and silk cotton fireside tapestry stand, dating to the William IV period, circa 1835. Striking example of fireside display furniture Presents a desirable aged patina and in good order Select mahogany shows fine grain interest and rich hues Quality velour and silk cotton tapestry panel in superb condition Small turned finial sits above the support stand Pendant suspended upon a brass hook with braided rope Embroidered to a fine standard with a melange of hedgerow flowers Long hanging tassels sit alongside a tassel border at the base of the tapestry Elegantly turned baluster support with wonderfully chamfered bulbs Dashing triform base with deep stocks and graceful arc profile Standing upon a trio of expressive, carved lion paw feet This is a delightful antique pendant pole screen, with a superb embroidered panel.
