About the Item
Lovely vintage Modern Asian Chinoiserie extra tall green four panel hand carved & painted folding screen. Comprised of relief carved wood designs with hand painted details with glossy marbleized finish on one side, crackle finish on the other, and brass feet. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are a few nicks and dings but nothing outstanding. Well, what have we here? A fabulous folding screen? Yes! A stunning room divider? Also, YES! A fantastic display of superb Modern Asian Chinoiserie style? Absolutely, YES!!! This is a magnificent four panel folding screen embellished with relief carved designs and hand painted details. One side is covered with relief carved leaves, branches, floral blooms, and a fabulous pheasant camouflaged among the leaves and blossoms hand painted in soft colors including green, mauve, and black with a glossy green, marbleized finish. The flipside has randomly placed relief carved circles filled with scenic visions and Asian symbols, a fabulous green crackle matte finish, and the screen stands upon brass capped feet. It’s extra tall at 84 ¼ inches and because it is beautifully finished on both sides, it will be wonderful free standing as a decorative piece in any room, used as a convenient and captivating room divider, or as a privacy screen in your dressing area. We ADORE this unique four panel folding screen and know that you must too… you need to make it yours!!!

They are 2 x 2 ft. lauan wood squares, ¼ inch thick. 16 yellow with dragon design and 2 white with dragon and symbol design, hand painted and gilded, in beautiful condition with wear as you would expect with vintage pieces.
