Italian Folding Screen

About the Item

This six-panel screen borrows from the Roman practice as an homage to the great designers that came before. Ancient roman courtyard houses typically had architectural elements crown molding, paneling, and windows painted inside. This gave the home the appearance of opulence and extended space. The Romans were masters of illusion and construction.
