Pair of Art Nouveau Embossed Painted Leather Panel Screens

About the Item

Extraordinary pair of massive art nouveau leather inset panel screens featuring flora and fauna embossed and painted designs. The leather panels are decorated with birds, squirrels, and mythical beasts amid gilt foliage and red floral blooms. The scenes have a dramatic black background and are set in later wood frames with black border trim. The large wood frames are lacquered with a faux Macassar ebony woodgrain on the borders. Amazing details of insects, webs, and intricate designs. The panels have brass hinge connecting hardware. Price is for a pair of panels as seen in photos. There are a total of 4 pairs available that connect to form an eight panel screen measuring 24 feet wide. Each panel is matching with unique painted details in the same manner and style.
