Swedish Painted Pine Trunk-Daybed
About the Item
A Swedish painted pine trunk and convertible daybed from the 18th century. This versatile antique has its original worn painted finish with a well-earned patina. The simple top surface lifts off its base to an open storage area. The facade of this interesting case piece has two horizontal paneles painted a worn dark blue. Hooks are found on each end that unlock the front of the bed to then extend forward creating space for a mattress.
