The relationships between man and environment are manifold, as both are complex systems, continuously evolving due to their intrinsic structural features. The interactions designer Giorgio Ragazzini is interested in are those that condition or modify the corresponding evolutionary dynamics: nature those of man, man those of nature.
The dialogue between natural and artificial strictly concerns the relationship between the reality that is not man-made and all that man transforms into objects. In this case the shapes of the unNATURAL collection stem from an investigation into natural phenomena and from the interaction of materials with human technology – in this specific case the most state-of-the-art technology for working natural stone with 5-axis pantographs, which make it possible to achieve more complex shapes than simple rotation volumes.
