English Pine Coat or Hat Rack
About the Item
This pine rack has five heavy cast brass hooks on either side. There is double peg and exposed mortise and tenon construction. The side supports have chamfered pencil post corners. The bottom has a cross stretcher, and the legs terminate in a trestle base with cross stretcher. The brass hooks were added later. There are ghost marks where the previous coat hooks were.
