Sculptural Valet Stand White Brass Metal Lucite Vereinigte Werkstätten Lacca 50s
About the Item
Sculptural high quality white enameled iron and metal valet stand with brass, leather and lucite accents made by Vereinigte Werkstätten München, Germany, circa 1955. The design of this coat stand reminds very much the works of Cesare Lacca, Italy, who created a matching side table with the same used materials and color combination. This cool gentlemen valet has very nice details, on top a brass bowl for cufflinks, a lucite coat hanger and a brass / leather pants hanger. It combines the look of a modern sculpture with a useful daily object, simply great and design at its best. This valet stand which has a good weight is about 110 cm / 43.31 inches tall, 45 cm / 17.72 inches wide and 27 cm / 10.63 inches deep. Cleaned with love this fabulous piece stays after years in a very good to excellent vintage condition, partly some loss of white paint, partly redone. This beauty is an eye-catcher. It would be a perfect addition and upgrade for any Mid-Century Modern or noble stylish interior.
