19th Century French Heraldic Hammered Brass Repoussé Grape Hod Umbrella Stand
About the Item
A superb large antique French hammered brass repoussé walking stick and umbrella stand, circa 1880. This was originally a grape hod or wine harvest basket but is ideal as an umbrella stand or for kindling by a fireplace. It's a fine quality hand crafted piece, a nice large size and heavy, weighing over 10 lbs. This beautiful piece is decorated with heraldic crest designs in a lovely aged brass patina, perfect displayed in an entryway for umbrellas or walking sticks.
