About the Item
Stunning vintage mid-century Hollywood Regency Crespi style cast bronze umbrella stand / holder made in Italy, circa 1970s. Made of cast bronze with a lovely natural golden patina to the Crocodile leather / hide detailing, which finishes the piece perfectly. A must have for any Hollywood Regency enthusiast and lover of natural, high quality and luxurious materials - this vintage umbrella stand would also make a wonderful holder for a collection of antique walking sticks, a tall planter or a waste paper basket.
Just a stunning piece of artisan mastestry by an, as yet, unknown maker - very much in the Crespi style and possible a unique piece which I don't think we will coming across again anytime soon!
This stand would compliment well with any Gabriella Crespi design objects or wall lights and sconces by French design
house, Maison Charles - who were famous for taking influence from and using natural plant forms for casting their beautiful range of table lamps in brass, bronze, gold and nickel.
