About the Item
20th Century Tibetan hand painted cylindrical box, barrel, bin or umbrella stand. Features a vibrant polychrome pattern featuring foliate and beaded designs. Mountains and clouds can be seen at the base as well as a different figure at every quarter turn of the vessel. Originally used as a box with latch and lid. Without the top it will make a great cane or umbrella stand. Circa first half 20th century
