About the Item

This cushion is a one-of-a-kind and part of a sustainability project. It has been created from an up-cycled, recycled luxury fabric, used with the intentions of promoting a more eco-friendly environment by using already existing materials. We both celebrate and cherish the past and take care with rare and precious vintage and antique materials. Through layers of carefully added backing the delicate fabric has been fortified for longevity and thus preserved. (The original designer/brand has been fully credited below) Custom-made one-of-a-kind luxury cushion (pillow) created from a vintage 1990s silk Nicole Miller fashion scarf in a multicolored novelty pattern. Featuring a festive pattern in bold colors of repeated Santa stockings with quirky leopard print trim it’s the ultimate quirky Christmas present or novelty home accessory to decorate your interior. Depicting bottles of bubbly, no doubt champagne, an some even popped giving the piece a wonderful charm and character. Note the subtle foulard style ‘Nicole Miller’ signature woven repeatedly within the fabric, especially notable when caught by the light. American fashion designer Miller studied at l' École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne in Paris and is known for her bold colors and repeated patterns often incorporating consumer products illustrating perfume bottles, cars, sporting events, drinks and hotel-chain logos. All the great supermodels from Naomi Campbell to Kate Moss have graced the catwalk in her work. Backed in new 100% pure Irish linen, the aristocrat of textiles and certified by the Irish Linen Guild, lined in a layer of natural bamboo wadding, filled with new plush duck feather insert and a concealed zip. The traditional oatmeal color linen is a combination of the unbleached raw colour of the natural flax plant on the weft intertwined with pristine white on the warp, resulting in a beautiful mottled effect. A contemporary cushion (pillow) constructed with antique elements by using fragments of precious fabric. Handcrafted in Ireland Color: Red, yellow, black, white and green.
