19th Century Split Bars Quilt from Pennsylvania

About the Item

This fine split bars quilt was made in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and is from the third quarter of the 19th century. It is quite rare the colors on a chocolate brown ground. It is in very good condition. These quilts were typically made in that are in Pennsylvania. It is a Mennonite quilt with a black and white calico quilt. Most of these split bars quilts never had or were made with borders. This comes from a private collection in Pennsylvania.
