Early 20th Century Hooked Rug of Dove and Cherry Branch, Mounted for Hanging

About the Item

Turn of the century/early 20th century hooked rug, mounted for wall hanging on black linen and foam core stretcher. With evergreen ground and white and variegated striped border. Central medallion flanked with vegetal designs in yellows/blues/browns. Center with stylized surround in variegated colors, central stylized dove clutching branch with two ripe, red cherries hanging below. Dove looking leftward at a butterfly with pink-edged wings.
