About the Item
A rare, vintage French pile carpet from the famed Aubusson flatweave carpet workshops, this moderately woven piece shows a beveled red open field decorated by an oval ecru medallion with an acanthus leaf edge, and rosette and stem centre. Rococo domed corner pieces and straw border with floret stems. Perfect with any-reign Louis furniture.
