A 9 Dragon Chinese rug in red field. Measures: 8 x 10 ft.
This traditional dragon rug design is typically found on antique rugs from Beijing / Peking and Ningxia. On this rug it shows 9 dragons in the inner field. 9 is a lucky number in Chinese Numerology. It represents longevity and eternality
Our collection of Chinese rugs offers new, vintage and antique pieces. The displayed rug is made of 100% hand spun wool. Total pile height about 1/2 inch, It has a red background color with abrash - a color change after dying new wool. This is very typical for vintage and antique rugs.
This rug has a fantastic feel, very soft and smooth. Goes great with Art Deco or Hollywood Regency interior design, but will be an eye catcher in any room, no matter if it is a living room, dining room or bedroom. Interior designers welcome.
The condition of this rug is very good. It has a full plush pile and short fringes. The side selvedge is in excellent condition. The rug has a few old, restored areas (repiled). And some color fading due to its age.
