Gabbeh Loribaff Rug
About the Item
Gabbeh Loribaff Rug 266x200 cm
These very beautiful carpets are made by nomads from the provinces of Kashkai and Loristan, in the southwest of Iran.
They are known for their primitive and naive designs, with some exhibiting a more modern style.
Nomads draw inspiration from their environment, resulting in unique and original rugs. They are very reminiscent of Gabbeh rugs, but these are knotted tighter and have a shorter pile.
Today, they are also made in India and Pakistan, drawing inspiration from Persian motifs, while maintaining the same quality.
This rug comes from Pakistan, the wool is hand-spun, colored with natural pigments. These are hard-wearing rugs that last for many years.
Its design makes it majestic thanks to its unique polychrome colors. It could even be hung as a work of art.
