About the Item
Rare Nichols rug with an unusual dragon and phoenix theme likely custom made. Blossoming honeysuckle plant flanked by smaller plants and perched above a dragon and phoenix (Yin & Yang or Success & Prosperity). The scene of bliss is framed within an archway which is further framed in a floral theme. The rug is in good original condition with no repairs and healthy fringes but has some low pile areas as photographed.
