Antique Distressed Square Amritsar Carpet

About the Item

This northern Indian carpet shows the remains of a large-scale Herati design on a beige-tan ground, within a straw border of boldly drawn, simple turtle palmettes. The wool is dry and the weave very coarse. The pattern is visible on the verso.
