About the Item

Agra rugs are the most highly sought after of the 19th century antique Indian rugs today. Agra rugs were extremely well made heavy durable rugs and are considered the best of Indian rugs in the post-Mughal period. Agra rugs are a combination of classical Persian, Turkish and Mughal designs. For the same reason all sizes were produced. Agra rugs were the heaviest Indian rug of its day and the pile was longer. Thus creating a long lasting and durable carpet. Measures: 12' x 17'4"
