Antique 1880s Persian Kermanshah Rug with Safavid Dynasty Design, 11' x 15'

About the Item

This Persian Kermanshah carpet features a Safavid Dynasty design and was created with a cotton warp and thread, hand-knotted handspun wool pile and natural vegetable dyes, circa 1880. Its design is highly innovative, with its medallion extending laterally into the carpets border. This carpet also features a gorgeous coloration of bright pinks, blues, green, and rich reds. The size is 10'8" x 14'8" and it is in excellent antique condition.
