Ashly Fine Rugs presents a 1900s Antique Persian Tabriz. Tabriz is a northern city in modern-day Iran and has forever been famous for the fineness of its handmade rugs. This piece is very unique, not only for its age but, for its size and color. The typical size of a big handmade rug is 12x15, anything over that is specially made. The colors of the rug are very uncommon for its age, where you would typically see reds and blues, this piece consists of a tan-grey colored background and details of dark brown. It is very similar in colors and style to what we see in modern-day rugs. Made with all vegetable-dyed, handspun wool and entirely handwoven. This rug has a very low pile across the entire surface, which is typical with antique rugs. Nonetheless, this piece is great for a living, dining, bedroom, or wherever its presence is desired and has many lifetimes to go.
