Antique Northwest Persian Rug Runner
About the Item
:: Allover covered field in oversized herati motif featuring rare abundance of pale green. Fantastic drawing in large scale, with excellent rendering of balance between positive / neutral spacing and extremely harmonious color palette. Colors and shades include: Pale yet saturated brick / rust / terracotta, celadon green, navy blue, sky blue, ivory and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with light isolated areas of foundation showing through. Mostly secure end, tatter to other, light tatter to either side. Slightly more narrow on one end measuring 5', as opposed to the other measuring 5'5", although based on length, type and genre, within typical margin of +/- variation. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Northwest Persian rug runner made in Persia circa 1890's vintage. Size measures 5'5" x 11'11".
