Antique Persian Jajim Rug with Red and Blue Tribal Stripes

About the Item

Antique Persian rug handwoven from the finest sheep’s wool and colored with all-natural vegetable dyes that are safe for humans and pets. It’s a traditional Jajim flat-weave design featuring red and blue tribal stripes. It’s a stunning piece to get for modern, contemporary and rustic spaces. It has a dimension of 6’7” x 7’ which is ideal for living and dining rooms as well as covered outdoor areas. Jajim is similar to Kilim which is a flat-woven rug. Its design is almost always in horizontal or vertical lines which points to its humble origins in ancient Persia. Jajim rugs were favored as a bed cover and blanket by tribes living in the cold, mountainous regions. Thicker Jajims were used for covering horses and floors. IMPORTANT: ACTUAL RUG COLORS MAY VARY FROM PICTURES & DESCRIPTION. YOU MAY REQUEST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS/VIDEOS OR CONTACT US FOR CONFIRMATION BEFORE PURCHASE.
