77235 Antique persian sarouk rug with vase design and Victorian style, scatter rug 03'06 x 05'00. This hand knotted wool antique Persian Sarouk rug features a vase design and Victorian style. Take center stage is a delicate ivory medallion surrounded by an all-over floral spray pattern on a deep red backdrop. The floral pattern is composed of a variety of flowers, palmettes, curved hyacinth, leafy tendrils, lotus, and roundel roses. At either end of the rug are small vases sitting on a thin plinth with arrangements of blossoms and flowering branches reaching towards the center. A diamond lozenge guard band encloses the center field. It is framed with a botanical and lotus border flanked with inner and outer carnation Meander guard borders. This antique Sarouk scatter rug possesses a history and patina that only an authentic antique could, and yet it is also capable of giving its best performance in the decades to come.
