Fine Antique Persian Kerman Rug 11'9'' x 20'5''

About the Item

This is an outstanding 1930's SE Persian urban creation with a navy indigo field centred by an octogrammoidal, four palmette medallion supporting four akimbo motives, each composed of pairs of forked botehs. The main border breaks into the field nine-rosette arrays at the sides and ends. Field corner Cardiforms grow from rippled cartouches in the main sky blue border. Extremely wide palette with numerous blue tones. Clearly the work of a master designer. Medium/fine weave. Good condition. Measures: 11'9'' x 20'5''.
