Very large and substantial Persian antique Bidjar in light orange-rust, and blue-gray, orange bronze, Taupe green. Measures: 14'6 x 24'2 Bidjar antique rug from Persia with ornate floral all-over design with medallion, rug SUS-2101-1065, country of origin / type: Iran / Bidjar, circa 1890. This magnificent antique Bidjar with an exquisite, all-over pattern, rests beautifully on a light blue-gray, taupe green, bronze and light orange red colored background, medallion and corners. Depictions of flowers, vines and other motifs are captivating in their delicacy on the background. The intricate border features ornamental, repeating flowers and vines that imbue the piece with decadence. The complexity of the rug's pattern and flawless structure becomes increasingly apparent the longer one studies it as well as design, colors and size of the rug.
