About the Item

Hand knotted in wool originating from Russia circa 1890-1900, this antique runner connotes a 19th century Karabagh rug design, employing an atypical play of Classic beige-brown and black hues in portraying the Classic boteh (paisley) pattern as its prevailing geometry. The definition and gravity of the field is enfolded by the more whimsical, tribal colorway variations in the border with a distinction lending character to the movement in this 3’5 x 14’5 runner; a welcomed and distinguished addition to the Antique & Vintage Collection from Rug & Kilim. Rug & Kilim maintains our own facilities for cleaning and restoration exclusively for carpets we’ve sold to ensure their lasting beauty and care long after a piece leaves our collection.
