About the Item
Great example of Turkish Oushak rugs. Made about 100 years ago from fine wool, hand-knotted in Turkey.
The rug has the wonderful classic red color in it´s inner filed. This color is the famous Turkish red, made from the madder root. Other colors are a deep indigo blue and a light green. It has wonderful soft wool. Due to the age it has low pile condition and a few old restorations. A really stunning decorative rug that will pop up every room. It is very soft and cosey in touch - a perfect rug for a bedroom or a living room. Contact the Djoharian Collection if you need any additional information or images. We are always glad to help you.
