52508, Turkish Oushak rug with Modern style 11'11 x 15'00. This hand knotted wool contemporary Turkish Oushak rug features a large-scale four-point medallion with finials at either end. The all-over geometric pattern is composed of Harshang-style motifs, blooming palmettes, organic shapes dancing on an abrashed field. It is enclosed with a variation of the Herati and palmette border flanked subsidiary guard borders. This new contemporary Turkish Oushak rug was made from the wool of an antique Kilim. The process starts from unraveling the wool from a 100-year-old antique Kilim rug and ends with a new transformation into an Oushak rug.
