Vintage 20th Century Khotan Runner
About the Item
This unusual east Turkestan kenare shows a windowpane field in a three by eight array, all on a light blue ground, with alternations of roundel “moon” medallions with circular openwork wreaths. The narrow border shows the same pattern as the panel dividers. Moderate weave from Xinjiang Province in western China. Good condition.
