About the Item

:: Shield-like center medallion with single pomegranate minor medallion with long stemmed blossoms outwardly directed. Adorned at either end by minor finials of tiered leaves atop a partially covered field of germinating blossoms and halved floral guls in sharp contour. Corner spandrel overlays in lattice oriented diamond relief. Meandering vine colorful border in simplistic geometric form. Colors and shades include: Faded raspberry red, ivory, pale sea foam green, faded aubergine, turquoise blue, oxidized silver, silver, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures slightly more narrow than the other, coming in at 2'6" as opposed to 2'9", within normal margins for type and age. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak rug runner made in Turkey circa 1960's vintage. Size measures 2'9" x 5'6".
