77210, antique Arraiolos rug with European Country Charm, Portuguese needlepoint rug. This daintily needlepoint antique Arraiolos rug features an all-over pattern of tiny florals amidst a flurry of leafy tendrils. The tendrils form a rapturing latticework across the carpet plane, inhabited by tiny birds in complementary colors. This special breed of needlepoint was created using the "Arraiolos Stitch," a long-armed cross-stitch perfected by the needlewomen of Arraiolos, a charming village in southern Portugal. A warm variegated olive green border featuring a single undulating tendril frames the composition, bursting with additional floral ornament. With its vibrant patterns and handwoven excellence, this antique Arraiolos rug charms guests in nearly any interior it graces. Rendered in variegated shades of saffron, light yellow, buff, khaki, olive, pistachio, moss, ecru, tan, camel, champagne, beige, rust, and terracotta.
