Antique French Savonnerie Mansion Carpet, Rococo Style, circa 1910s
About the Item
In a French Rococo style, the eggshell field is pointed at one end and shaped by oblique corners and a re-entrant half-cartouche. Small oval medallion with pale straw sub-medallion and mauve-pink border with grasses and flowers. Coarse weave, thick pile. French, or maybe Spanish or Austrian. Good condition. Hotel lobby carpet.
