Size: 8'1" × 9'8" (246 × 294 cm).
This incredibly classy traditional today rug is inspired with the marvelous Eastern-European creations. It takes the traditional simple folk motifs and gives them a completely new dimension, saturated with timeless elegance and absolutely palatial chic. The area rug’s deep chocolate brown background is very typical of, for instance, Romanian decorative art in which a colorful pattern usually stands off a dark, sometimes even black, field.
Here, bold and pronounced floral motifs are rendered in a glamorous golden shade that forms an incredibly harmonious, graceful combination with the darker setting. The piece is not only a sheer pleasure to look at but also to touch. Its soft and sheen pile was masterfully handcrafted of the finest wool and silk in accordance with centuries-old weaving techniques by a skilled artisan.
