19th c Louis XV Style Foliate Upholstered Fruitwood Armchairs

About the Item

A fine pair of Louis XV style upholstered carved fruitwood armchairs with arched crests, scroll carved arms, a leaf carved center decoration along the front skirt, all supported by four French legs with scroll feet. The backs are finished with a light checkered upholstery. This pair dates to the 19th century, in very good condition, with some mild worm damage, minor surface imperfections, restorations, and fresh upholstery. Dimensions: Each measure 41.75 in H x 26 in W x 30 in D, with a seat height of 19 in H. Ref: 8
