19th Century French Oak and Leather Desk Armchair from the Pyrenees
About the Item
Crafted in Southern France circa 1890, and built of oak wood, the comfortable armchair stands on front turned legs with bottom stretcher; it features a wide seat, open armrests and a curved rectangular back. The chair is upholstered with the original thick tan leather embellished with decorative brass nail heads. The Louis XIII style chair in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina; place it behind a desk or writing table in a man's study or office.
