About the Item

A Chinese late Qing Dynasty period elmwood armchair from the early 20th century, with pierced splat, sinuous arms, rattan seat and carved apron. Created in China during the late Qing Dynasty period in the early years of the 20th century, this elm wood armchair features a rectangular open back, adorned with an in-curving splat carved with a pierced medallion in its center.
